Used Herter's Spreader loads on one with # 7 shot.. WW 4's for the second.. I think for prairie shooting, the spreaders are no my best choice..

I'm with you on that, except I'll add the caveat that it must be over a pointing dog.

If I was hunting with a flusher, it'd be pheasants.

I don't have a rain gauge but it started raining Wednesday morning and didn't stop until Friday evening. Had to be selective about which road to drive down yesterday.

Same here, 2" super soaker, uber mud.

Went out this morning for a quick look but only jumped a couple of cocks.

BTW, nice ass.

Must have been a rookie driver!

I took the side by side, pickup hasn't left the driveway all weekend. Street legal Rangers are the chit for muddy days.

Not to wade too deeply into the pool of experts, but I have been thinking about buying a Weatherby SA-08 in 20 gauge.

Seems like it would be a nice little gun.

We had some hunters slog through the mud and go hunting on Friday.

Parked at the sign in box and walked down the trail by my lentils.

Guess upland birds like lentils.

Good thing they thinned them out then!

Stop by. I'll buy you a beer and take you to my friend's best spots.

I'll shoot you a pm if I make it up your way but I might have to buy you the beer as [bleep] as your bears are playing.

I'm wearing my Bears sweatshirt through multiple airports today.

Let's just say the comments have not been very sportsman like.

Some of them even said mean things about Jay.

Wyo, early this morning we were out in sage hen country about 70 miles west of here.

Stopped on the county road and waited to meet up with another partner in crime.
(sorted/moved a few yearlings horseback)

Perfectly still while we sat and waited in the pickup with the windows down.

You could literally hear birds chirping crystal clear though the air.

I heard coyotes yipping and they had to be over two miles away.

And then the [bleep] horses would start stomping around in the trailer and ruin it.....grin

Jim, with the recent rain it is still a touch green here at home.
