A gun store owner showed me a flyer from cz that listed 'new this year' - low rings for the cz550. That was months ago. I've not been able to locate anyone who has them, whether online or in checking several stores. Nobody has even heard of them.
Anybody run across them? Or know anything more?
Thanks

I have never seen them, and having a 550 don't know what scope would fit and still clear the bolt handle.

The standard issue CZ rings stand well proud of the base. Perhaps they have another "low" offering? They probably amount to the same height as Warne/Leupold/Talley medium height rings. Tried the Warne quick detach low rings and couldn't cycle the bolt -- rubbed a standard 3-9x scope with Butler Creek covers. Had to stick with mediums and build up the cheek a bit for the cheek weld I need. CZ 550 7x64 Brenneke with Lux ("Bavarian") stock FWIW.

Thanks. The standard cz rings I have claim to be .550 to the bottom of the scope tube. Not sure how those others compare

I show about 0.430 shouldershot. Warne chart says 0.500 for highs and 0.400 for mediums.

Using Warne Low's (.300" from bottom of ring base to bottom of ID) a simple fix is to just grind the bolt handle.. That's what I did on three Brno's and one CZ's and they look good.. I was using a leupy 1.5-5 most of the time..
It's a great life if you don't weaken..
