what is the best source (best price) for 6.5 grendel brass or 7.62x39 to convert to it.

I recently had trouble finding some so I bought hornady factory ammo 123 Amax loads for $20/box. They've shot under 1/2 Moa and clock 2500fps from my 18" bhw. My hand loads also run the 123 Amax at 2500 so it worked out well for me. 100 empty hornady brass ran me $80 last time so spending $100 for 100 loaded rounds I can use was an easy decision, and I hate buying factory loads.

For anything that doesn't require the nth degree of precision, I would be looking for the Prvi 6.5 Grendel brass or they also do the 7.62x39 parent. I've had good results with it in other calibers. Probably not quite Lapua quality but plenty good enough for an AR. Cabela's lists it in stock on sale for $50 per 100 if you can't find it anywhere else. Google should be your friend here. For what its worth, I only got a couple loads out of the hornady brass that came as loaded ammo because loose primer pockets. I got a bunch more life out of virgin hornady brass, and the best life out of Lapua.

I get all my brass from Powder Valley. Lapua that is. I have some Grendel brass I have loaded 14 times.
