I've searched high and low and couldnt find the info i am looking for.

I believe a std.short action 700 action and bolt should be around 1lb 10oz

what does the 700 ti weigh?

just want to know if the 1500 plus or so for a ti what that might get me

6 oz?

I think you get more than 6 ozs on a SA Remington Ti, I'm thinking closer to 10 ozs maybe?? I know my Ti 7MM-08 is much lighter than the Gander Mtn .243 I had, basically the same exact rifles except for the action.

A pierces 16oz lighter. I can't speak for the Remington.

Is that with their lightening option?

The difference between identical Rem actions (stainless vs. titanium) is 8 ounces.

However, nearly 2 ounces of that comes from fluting the bolt and handle. So that puts it at 6 ounces true difference.

On either action one can quite easily save another 2+ ounces by installing an aluminum bolt shroud and fluted steel firing pin.

That is what mine weighed with John's standard Ti receiver. John has made a few with Ti bolt body and a CM bolt head. Probably saves 2-4 more ounces.

Mine below with a custom made Brown Precision stock.

Slick. Tasteful.

No knob is nice. They are ugly.

The 280 Remington is overbore.

The 7 Rem Mag is over bore.
