After I popped this one cuz sees the 10pt hop across the creek. 3 sightings, never a shot. So this is is the "dink" from our woods, shot next to last day. Too big for this contest, but it's all I got. Pathetic yes. But at least my GF calls me MR Pathetic (almost half the time, other times it's other guy's names). They shoot bigger deer I bet. Losers. [img:center][/img] Its Monday morning and the Judge is a little perturbed... You guys just aren't taking this seriously! We might have to start a "Mega-Dink" category for gods sake! What happened to the good old days when I would enter a six inch spike and be immediately humiliated? BTW, you can turn that whole 'calling out other guys names' thing by getting good at your "craft"..unlike your deer hunting. I really don't care about the GF..........she's getting kicked to the curb as soon as I find another with big boobs and good hunting ground. What happened is that participation in this esteemed competition has risen to the level that dinks are becoming the modern-day buffalo. They are simply being shot out. If present trends continue, you'll be hard-pressed to shoot a sub-130 buck. A 1" spike will make national news. In anticipation of this occurrence, I have invested in Blanton's, Rebecca Creek, and Livers-R-Us, sensing this will become a bribing game.... One possibility I see is the poobs being so inundated with entries (bribes) that he occasionally has to walk to the convenience store just to take a break....

Our definition of antlerless deer, is a deer with less than 3" antler per side. An antlerless male deer is usually a yearling. This deer was at least 1 & 1/2 years old. In the end, if checked, I would have no way of proving that he had had less than 3" per side before shedding, so did the ethical thing & used my buck tag. I value my/our hunting privileges too much, to risk loosing my licence for 12 - 24 months ! Paul. "Kids who grow up hunting, fishing & trapping, do not mug little old Ladies"

However, our CO's can enter any property, without a warrant & I'm hanging our deer in our "shady" neighbours shed ! As said above, I chose to do what I believe was the right thing & was rewarded with the Doe, the next morning ! As meat hunters, we are completely satisfied with our 4 tasty deer. Paul.
