Here is an interesting hypothetical question for you all. What if you could have just ONE rifle for ALL hunting applications. What would it be (Make/Model/Caliber) and what would be riding on top?

Weatherby Mark V six lug, MPI stock, light barrel chambered for 6.5 SLR finished with a Terminator 3 brake. Scope would be a Bushnell 6500 4 1/2-30X50 in Talley's.

VZ-24 8x57 Weaver Classic K4, should be plenty good enough for anything that walks or crawls in North America.

I don't always shoot Mausers, but when I do...I prefer VZ-24s.

Sako 85 stainless Hunter .308. (Or 270) with a zeiss victory HT 4-16x50 (probably too much scope but I want one) I ordered one. A couple days later the vendor called, since he knows my likes, and told me it does not have either adjustable objective or side focus. I thanked him and canceled the order.

Sako AV Fiberclass in 30-06
Sako 75 SM SS synthetic in 300 wsm
Sako A7 7mm roughtech bedded in a Mcmillan Sako Classic
Weatherby Accumark 300 wby
any of these would work

That Google search is great. I never knew about that. I found stuff I had been trying to find right off. Thanks a bunch for that suggestion. CWT There is a google search engine specifically for the fire. Much easier to find what you are looking for.
