Some of you may remember last year I picked up a EG 250 that had been at some point in its life had been fitted with an Echo Mount. To add insult to injury, someone "fixed" the prior drilling and tapping by "filling" the holes with plugs and grinding them flush and "blending in" the bluing. The worst part being the rifle is probably 90% otherwise.
After emailing with Lightfoot, seemed the early style Williams using the tang hole seemed the easiest way to scope it. The Williams was sourced along with sets of regular and High rings. Inventorying scopes hand I discovered one of the Redfield TV scopes on hand had a longer tube and shorter objective than the others thus, a body long enough to fit the Williams. After setting it up in the mill and playing with the shims several times the EG came home wearing a Redfield. Look out deer.
