Some Ballistic Tips are very good elk bullets. I'd happily hunt elk with the 150 7mm, 180 .30, 180 8mm and 200 .338--though the last is only available now in the Ballistic Silvertip line.

Mule Deer, what about the .308 168gr NBT? I thought I read this one had a thicker jacket?

Thick enough to put this guy on the ground, right now.

Yep, that's one of the thick-jacketed models!

Nah, it's my brother. I'm much better looking.

My handloads, though. I'm christened the load "Tatanka" after my brother put one through the right ear hole of a 2 year old bison. Yep, the ear hole.

168 has a jacket that might be even thicker than the 180. Very tough bullet.
