Looking for a pair of relatively small and light bino's for bowhunting. Read lots of good things about the Yosemite 6x30's and tried to get some, unfortunately they seem hard to get here in Canada. In fact I haven't been able to find a reputable seller who will ship them. Is there another comparable option that I might be able to find?

Since this isn't the optics forum maybe the jerks won't go on attack. Can you receive some from a private citizen in the U.S.?

I think so, I see a few guys on ebay will ship from the US to Canada. I showed the wife the Yosemite's and some Kowa's yesterday so I'll have to wait till after Christmas to see what Santa might bring me..

My current favorite is Minox BD 7x28 $341 12 ounce auto focus [your eyes focus, not a knob, and your eyes focus fast] http://www.bestbinocularsreviews.com/Minox7x28BD-92.htmFocusing Because these are fixed focus binoculars (often mistakenly referred to as self focusing or auto focus binoculars), once you have set each individual eyepiece to your particular eyesight and the binocular is thus focussed to the hyperfocal distance, you then no longer have to make any further adjustments and the binoculars will provide you with sharp views of everything from 20 metres away to infinity. Fixed focus binoculars like these have a large depth of field allowing your eyes to make the adjustments rather than the binoculars.https://www.amazon.com/Minox-BD-7x28-Binoculars-62039/dp/B004Y7C52Q

Vortex makes a 6x32 Viper HD that is spectacular. A lot more money than the Yosemites but a lot better quality (I have both). David

I picked up a pair of these and they have exceeded expectations. I have the Yosemite and they are excellent for the money as well. These are about $40 more than the Leupold, but slightly better and smaller. It is really a close call as to value. I do wish they offered this version in a 6X28 instead of 8X28. But so far I have no complaints. http://swfa.com/Vortex-8x28-DiamondBack-Binocular-P89927.aspx

Another vote for the Vortex 6x32 Viper. Mine are simply outstanding.

Just man up and buy the Swaro CL 10X25 pockets. You will thank me later.

I've been using Swarovski 8x30 SLC's for a long time. Might be a tad bigger than you want but they fit in my pocket. Seems like you can find them used for around $5-600. I've heard great things about the Vortex mentioned above also, but I just like the feel of the Swarovskis.

You cannot beat Cameraland's recent sale offer for the Minox 10x25's for ~ 60$. Unreal value.

A bit bigger, but I am impressed with the Leupold BX3 10x32 for rifle hunting (I realize you would probably pick something with less power).
