Local shop has a Ruger no 1 30-06, 22 inch.light profile barrel no sights, nor evidence there ever where sights. appears to be an older gun but still very good condition. Stock is very nicely figured.foreend is heavier what I would call varmint style. I'm not a #1 expert was this a factory option?

Ruger also made at least one No. 1AB in .308 Winchester. I bought one used decades ago. When I decided to sell it, the original owner showed up and bought it back. He had regretted selling it.
