Anyone have one yet? How are they compared to the Montana?

I picked up a 243 recently. I wanted to try a short action Kimber, and I plan on using it for a tractor/truck rifle. So the removable mag and cheaper price made sense. I've only shot two and a half boxes of Hornady factory ammo through it. I've shot out to 400 yards and am pretty happy with it. A couple of three round groups at 200 and 400. Sitting with sticks. I don't mind the stock, but if I was going to carry it alot I'd probably spend the money on a Montana. The only thing I don't really like is the three round magazine. It'd be nice if it held four.

Try acetone? Or finger nail polish remover on the goo? Am about to dig into mine, tonight or tomorrow. Guess I'll find out.

I picked up one off of gun broker today in 6.5 Creedmore. Looking forward to getting it in my hands.

Acetone definitely worked to loosen my red goo.

I wouldn't call it a beater ....grin Besides $700 is only two Americans

It is in the description at SportsmansOutdoorSuperstore's website. http://www.sportsmansoutdoorsuperst...-84m-hunter-6.5-creedmoor-with-fde-stockIf it is 1/8 I would have ordered one.

1/12 is wrong, Kimber ONLY makes them with a 1/8 twist.

Oh well. I guess I didn't really need "light" anyhow for what I'll use it for. As long as the Howa shoots, I just saved 300 and change I guess.....

It's not super light like a MT, which I to may balance a bit better but I do like the MT quite a bit.
I'd like a Creedmore and don't really need or want another RAR. But for 1/2 the price, or almost of a MT the Hunter certainly has my attention.
