I"ve done seating depth for years in ARS, without removing the ejector.
Now I"m up against Acme 400 grain hard cast coated bullets.
I can not get the bolt to open without assistance, until I"m down to 1.900 OAL. Thats wildly short, to me, and its almost into the ogive of the bullet at the case mouth.
Comments?
I'll take the ejector out when I have time, I'm wanting to mess with this in the spring for load testing.
Will be one of Carolyns bear defense guns in AK in the future.
We can keep Larry Root and all his idiotic blabber and user names on here, but we can't get Ralph back..... Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, over....

Is it a ALexander Arms upper? I seat Lee 440gr cast bullets to 2.185" in mine. They chamber fine and shoot great at 1550.

yes, AA upper, I could not get the bolt to close at all, until about 2.00 or so IIRC. After that it would slam closed but had to help eject with a cleaning rod....
This isn't a Lee, its an ACME 400 round nose flat point. Shape of bullets can matter.
