For you guys who are unhappy with your Les Baers and such... http://ruger.com/products/sr1911/specSheets/6736.htmlNot sure what makes it a "target" model except the adjustable sights, they don't mention any special modifications over the standard models to accurize it. As a lefty I'm happy to see that it has an ambidextrous safety although that would seem to be more useful to every other model but this one.

i got the email from ruger on this last night. Kind of interesting in a way. Since i converted the original to a ambi safety, and replaced the grips. But my grips are prettier, i bought a set lazer cut with the air force logo to eventually give to favorite grandson in a.f.
