I am new to the world of muzzleloading and have just purchased a T/C Encore Pro Hunter. After reading the manual and viewing several YouTube videos, the answer to one of my questions remains unanswered. Does it matter which end of the ramrod you use to load the gun?

On all my muzzys I have a small folding T handle on the barrel end. Really helps loading and pulling a ball if you have to.

The tapered end of the ramrod is built that way, to click into the stock and remain secure. Both threaded-ends I'm guessing are still 10/32 threads.

See which end fits your bullet starter best. Not sure if yu are using a t-handle or a rubber ball-type starter that fits over the end of the ramrod. Whichever end has little or no slop, is the end you want at your bullet-loading hand. Use the other thread-end of your ramrod for your loading jag.

Make sure your jag-end is hollowed-out, if using ballistic tip bullets. Also best to use a spin jag for loading.
