I know it's probably a few months early for new announcements for 2017, but has there been any rumors or news of anything new coming out for lefties?
Now that the AR craze should settle down quite a bit, and the fear of legislation happenings is smashed, CC handguns will probably take priority in most productions, but that should also free up some space for more sporting guns. Should be interesting to see how the market shifts for 2017.

Doc LH Montana Creed would be sweet...........It'd surely fill a gap between my 243Win, 260Rem and 7mm-08.

Ruger seems to be about the best company to have hope in. At least they are always bringing out new and even unannounced distributor runs, and many in LH.
They really need to expand the American line and fill everything with LH version as well. Can't really go wrong, with how it's been going so far.

Been requesting (begging?) Ruger bring out a LH rimfire bolt gun since they started their "Tell the CEO" web page. RAR or 77/22 would be fine with me. Not holding my breath

I'd take a RAR in 6.5 CM but would really like a LH Tikka T3x in that chambering. Although now that I know a WSM magazine works in my Tikka .260 and allows another .07" OAL that sort of mitigates the need for the Creed.
Also have the LH rimfire rifles covered but a LH American .22 and .17HMR would probably be the biggest sellers for Ruger.

If Whittakers could have Ruger build a special run of lefty RAR's in 6.5 Creed we all would be happy. I vote for Stainless.

Davidsons would be the place to contact. Going to Ruger would be pointless. The CEO was clueless in a discussion I had with him regarding some models a few years back, so I have quickly written off that option. Davidsons knows what will sell and they can make it happen. There is a dealer here who orders the Americans direct from Ruger in 450 Bushmaster, for Michigan deer hunters

that's a good point. Davidson's talks with the order book. Consumers talk as individuals with no promise of orders. I suspect Ruger, like most manufacturers, will build anything, within reason, provided there's a sufficient amount of orders to make it profitable.

I give up on Kimber. Now I'm just holding my breath for a SA SS version of that Barrett in 2017.
I've seen more well-shot game lost with TSXs than any other premium bullet.

While we are all wishing, I'd love to see a LH short in 17FB or 221FB again like Remington did a while back. That, and Id love to see CZ chamber a LH 17Hornet and or 17FB.

I worked with a women whose Dad worked and shot skeet for Remington in Conn. He had three 28 gauge auto's built from 20 gauge Remingtons. When her Dad passed her sister in Conn sold all his shotguns to a gun shop in Bridgeport. So making 28 gauges from 20 gauges has been done. Doc

Yep, there's lots of stuff I'd buy that will never be made. I'm kinda moving on from LH to wondering why everything isn't ambidextrous.

Does almost no good to dream anymore....I've been so frustrated over the years....and now at 45yo...some of my desires have changed. I'm on the same bandwagon wishing any Kimber would be offered in LH and that jinky Howa Alpine sure seems like a nice rig....wish that SOB would come out in LH this year.
But like the other thread.....I'd take a Ruger Predator in 6.5 Creed made backwards too. Do we have any clue what a minimum would be to contact Davidson's for a special run?

Have no idea about a minimum. I can tell you this, though. I have called Kimber multiples of times about putting out a Montana in LH. They just are not interested. And, I've said many times that there would be a large market for them They just don't want to do it. Period. Like the looks of the new Howa's. They've got a nice one in 6.5 Grendel. Have no idea about a LH version, though. Might give them a call and check their oil.

I don't understand this mentality given that most of the other manufacturers are at least maintaining, if not increasing their Left Hand variants. Not as light as a Kimber, but, MRC offers most of their variations in LH. Will continue to buy MRC whenever the configuration fits what I am looking for...

Confirming Kimber. I was told by their corporate staff at SCI "Kimber will never make a left hand rifle".
I walked away and will not go back.

Based on all the LH Rugers that CDNN bought, and sold, at bargain basement prices ($300 SS Americans, $400 77s) I'd be surprised if Ruger delved any deeper in the lefty market. As for minimums, the MI dealer that had them make the .450 Bushmaster Americans ordered, and sold, 1500. According to the owner, Ruger "weren't real thrilled about it, didn't think the market was very large"

If Davidsons got 50 to say they would buy, Id bet it would happen. The other LH runs have all done well. There will be rimfires, its just a matter of time. When ammo starts being widely available again, demand will rise.

In fact...most of the replies from Kimber have the tone of [bleep] Off I know I begged when they started chambering the 260 Rem and later the 300 WSM. Too many good options these days so I wouldn't likely ever buy one anyways considering their attitude.

If Cooper does, it will be their first LH composite to be made. They told me a year ago they were starting in house manufacturing on composite stocks and would include all current composite models in LH. They told me they would have those out by summer, and said I could order. Good thing I didnt because I have yet to see any sign of a LH composite Cooper.

I would never buy another Kimber after trying two different Montanas in .308 for my wife. Neither of them would shoot very good and one had feeding issues. So they can stuff it even if they make a lefty.
Winchester is just as bad. Their refusal to make any more lefty 70's sucks.
Even Savage is starting to forget about us. They offer fewer left hand models than they did 5 years ago.
My biggest fear is when I die my wife will sell my guns for what I told her they cost.

Good reason to support Montana Rifle Company. I have some personal issues with their products (for the price) but even with that I have to say they make a decent rifle. And they make their left handers in a plethora of calibers. Same with Tikka. You can get a bunch of different chamberings in LH, although whoever dreams up the twist rates on some of them certainly doesn't read the 'fire.

The SHOT show could be interesting. But not expecting too much, because there has been no hints of anything promising.
Side note: The Ruger American 450 Bushmaster Ranch rifle will be available in left hand sometime this month through the exclusive Michigan dealer. Not sure if Ruger or Davidsons will bring out a lefty when the regular RH model hits the shelves. The right hand model is on the Ruger site now. I know it's not really exciting, but it is really catching on in states with restricted deer rifle laws. A guy shot a doe with one at 365 yards here the other day. Trajectory is like a damn football, but most people are using CDS or similar scopes.

The dealer in Michigan (Randys) that had the Ruger Americans in .450BM made will have some left hand models available tomorrow morning, first come first served. They are the 16" threaded barrel models. Thought about picking one up but just built up an AR in .450BM.
