We have a 2002 john deere gator 4x2. It is ok but it is only 10hp and is belt drive.Top end is probably 10mph. I know my tractor roads faster than that thing can run.

I ran across the Kubota and I really like the idea of the 23hp diesel and the hyd dump not to mention the 4x4. They are asking $6200 for it and it is a 2005 model. It seems to be a bit high and I don't really NEEd it but I would like it. I have had three Kubotas in the past and other than normal maintenance, never had an issue.

Any of you own one of these by any chance ?

I have a a Kubota diesel with the metal cab, air condition and radio. Absolutely love it for doing work along our place. Very reliable and can readily haul 1800 pounds in the bed.

Mine will do about 25 MPH in high, I use med range mostly and occasionally low for heavy pulling.

I've had the 900, 1100 and now the 1140. They are all bulletproof. Read on many forums where people are getting more than 4,000 hours on them with ease.

Expect around twenty five mph top speed on flat land.

The new x900 and x1120 2 seaters are much nicer with really improved suspensions and other niceties and Kubota has zero percent financing for sixty months right now.

The new Kawasaki Mule Pro's are an excellent alternative. Smoothest and quietest riding UTV I've ever been in.

Thanks for the info on the kubotas. There may be people out there that spend that much money on a utv but I won't be one of them.
