I have a 14" barrel and I'm looking to get something longer. Anyone know what barrel lengths you can get for a contender in 7mm TCU??
Thanks!!

Pistol or carbine? Seems like T/C made some 16" barrels but I don't know if they were in the 7mm TCU. You can have a custom barrel made by MGM or others in any barrel length you want. Anything over 16" has to be a carbine stocked firearm, I believe. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

look at MGM any length you want, you can also ask what would be an ideal length Dillon there knows his stuff,
if you want change you have to put in your 2 cents, you can't just sit on the sidelines and whine

Not sure what's out there now. TC used to make a 21" carbine barrel.

quoted for accuracy. Their barrels are outstanding.

The one I had worked good with 150gr cast, just shoved the nose in the rifling and it shot great . Around 1800 FPS .

I have an 18" Custom Shop that shows promise. Throats are pretty long though as Jason 280 said. Part of a 3-barrel set I traded into.

Osu Sig anything under 16 inches can't be stocked for rifle.Longer lengths are fine for pistol.Under 16 is considered short barreled rifle.

TC made 10"-14"- and 21" as cataloged items. The 21" barrels were all 1 lug I believe as I have never seen a 2 lug. Mine is a one lug. I have all three and the 14" is the favorite. The TC Custom Sop would made any length you desired in Contender or Encore. We did't know how good we had it when that custom shop was in business.

At least some of the "Custom Shop" barrels were made by MGM, although T-C may have finished and marked them. I have several that are T-C marked but also have MGM-identified parts (a VR on a 28 guage Contender barrel for example, and another on a .410). Not sure what the relationship between the original T-C and MGM was, but I sure would be interested to know.
I now get all my "T-C" barrels from MGM.
Was Mike Armstrong. Got logged off; couldn't log back on. RE-registered my old call sign, Mesa. FNG. Again. Mike Armstrong

Mesa..when the custom shop closed, a TC dealer bought out all unfinished and partially finished blanks & barrels, & remaining inventory. They were then contoured, cut, crowned, chambered, and finished by MGM. those barrels are identified by the dual stampings T-C / MGM. i ended up with 7 of them, all are fine shooters.
