Plan is to be there a few days in March. Time will be mostly pre-arranged, but would like some good places to eat.

Thanks.

Can't recommend any restaurants, but be aware of the speed limits, they have spotters and chasers down there.

Tx for the warning, but we don't speed much. Driving will be local. Hotel to metroplex.

And a restaurant or two.

Golden Rule Barbeque if nothing else just to see what a pit full of pig looks like on hickory smoke. You'll never regret it.

Check out the Alabama and Lyric Theaters, both beautifully restored and usually something cool going on. Stayed at the Tutwiler, pretty nice. Saw Gillian Welch at the Lyric last week, she was awesome as usual, then took the kids to see Rogue One at the McWane Center IMAX, it was 'way cool. Ate at Fish Market, one of our perennial favorites, and breakfast at The Original Pancake House in Five Points. Check it out!

If you have any interest at all in motorcycles make time to visit the Barber Museum. Finest on the planet!

Moe's is ok for BBQ, but I prefer Jim N Nicks. Really good stuff. I like eating at the Pita Stop also, good food, good people.
Always a good meal at Zoe's kitchen, down town. Another favorite of mine is Newks. Just love that place.
Lloyds down on 280 is dependable and tasty. Pappadeaux, or something like that, is excellent for seafood.
The city is full of very good places to eat

Not much for good restaurants in our little burg, IMO.

I always look forward to good eats when traveling.

The rabbit is superb and so is the lamb shank.

Or, Bottegas, same owner,Frank Stitt: and easier to get in.

Also, Hot and Hot Fish Club or Ovenbird; both owned by Chris Hastings.
Stitt is multiple finalist for best restaurant in America.
Hastings multiple finalist for BestChef in the south region.
Saw's BBQ.
Enjoy.

Yes, that was a pretty good storm. Enjoy Highlands; if you have time for another try Ovenbird; Mark Zuckerberg was in town last week and went there after visiting with Coach Saban. Good food and nice outdoor seating available; if warm enough.

Excellent steak; I just don't usually spend that kind of $$$ for steak. And located in a Embassy suites hotel. I like to cook and like something I can't do with quality seasonal ingredients I can't get.Probably recommend Flemings or Perrys for steak; though Ruth Chris is certainly good.
Ovenbird is high end tapas style with variety. Same chef owns Hot and Hot Fish Club; also excellent

Beat me to it. You don't even have to be a hard core anything motorcyclists to enjoy that place.
