Black Diamonds any good? I just came into one and hope to shoot it soon. I already own a T/C Omega and like it very much.

Good rifles; older design, but a good one. If the triggers aren't Remington 700s, they are a near clone, and just as adjustable. .45 or .50?

My buddy has one, it's accurate as is every other one I've heard about.

I like mine.I bought it several years ago while my TC Hawkin was getting a new barrel back at the factory.

The plastic stock made a lot of noise,so I replaced it with a walnut one I made.

It doesn't not shoot max-balls very well but does excellent with Power Belts.

The one draw back to me is taking the rear action plug out in order to get the bolt out for cleaning.Getting it screwed back in is pain.

You can change out the FO sights with a Williams peep sight, but you will need different height front sight.

Mine is currently for sale as I purchased a TC Impact last year. It includes original stock, walnut stock, Williams Peep, with blade front sight, and scope bases.Photobucket is downright now or I would post a photo of it.

DO NOT Use BH209 powder in it.

No need to ask why. Just binged it and found the answer. A DEFINITE no. I just like to keep tabs incase I run on to used muzzleloaders.

I bought a T/C Impact this past summer. One of the best deals out there. Recently ordered one for a friend. $237 to his door.

The owners manual says I can use 150 gr. pyrodex pellets with a 250 grain sabot bullet. I believe this info was published before the 777 were available. I will probably stay with 100 grains but just want to know what the max is? Thanks

If you look on top of the barrel, behind the rear sight it shows XR and then in smaller letters Extended Range. You can definitely go up to 150 grains, but check the Owners Manual for what weight bullets.

Had one and it was great. I bought the Omega when it came out and the BD went down the road, wish I had kept it now.

I love mine. It shoots 250 grain sabots very well over pyrodex.

Black Diamonds were very well made rifles. Breach plugs have become hard to find so stock up if you still can.

I've got a .45 Black Diamond. It shoots well enough but access to the nipple is an issue after you put a scope on them. It's not too bad as long as you carry some type of priming tool. You also can't use Blackhorn 209 in that type of setup. I haven't hunted with mine since I bought a break open inline but I did take it out and shoot it this fall.
