I put this SHV on a Kimber Adirondack and now I can't get the rifle to stay upright! It appears you guys that were saying this is a bad idea (light rifle + heavy scope) were right! Any advice on how I can fix this??

Yea, I've always tried to avoid that -- just my sense of proportion 😏. For that rifle I would pick my glass which in combination with the rings & bases would come under a pound. You can still go ~ 1.25-5x, 2-7x, or 3-9x in several choices of optics. Save the SHV for later -- you're still young.
My sense is, why saddle a nice, light, compact rifle with resembling a small barbell? But that's just me.

Any advice on how I can fix this?? I'm glad you posted that. I've said it many times, that it makes them "top heavy". Either change the stock or change the scope. But it damn sure throws the balance off the way it is. Another thing you can try is to carry it by the scope or carry the rifle upside down. Carry it slinged all day long like some here do...

Holding that rifle upright will only require modest wrist strength - should be a non issue unless you suffer from LWS (Limp Wrist Syndrome).

The solution is obvious here. Longer action screws and a counterweight on the bottom of the stock to eve things out. 😜

Hollow out the stock, fill the stock with IPA, add a tap under the sling swivel stud, use like a camelback while stalking.

Starsky, Your dilemma is a common one and can be easily solved.... You need to get one of them super duper UBER cool slings, they will act as a counter weight and with enough practice you could actually use it to carry your rifle after years of practice of course. I myself have not mastered this skill to carry my rifle so I usually ask someone to carry my rifle on my hunts.

That's what you get for going blind mag. You need a lotta rounds detachable mag. Even better if you get one of those multiple mag clamp things so you can load it for "perfect" balance.

Everyone knows you cant hit chiit with a butt heavy gun. A better solution would be to tape a couple of 16oz. keystone light cans to the barrel. with blue tape of course.... duh Balance got to have balance.....

X Yep, shooting from the supine rather than prone position works for "turtled" rifles. Of course, the turrets won't work the same way. Good thing it's CRF, or else it wouldn't feed right.

But if you want to get your name in the Hay Bale and Crockett record book, you're gonna have to pull out all the stops and get off the porch! The gun will automatically go upright. With the right boolits. Thank me later.

Want to check if this is ok I just put a SS3x15 on my 6.5 cmore hunter. I will remove it immediately if not.
On a serious note how does the scope compare to the nxs line.

I still have no idea what I'm missing here... You are missing the fact that too many people get all wrapped around the axle when others have different preferences or opinions on "what works for them". There have been several threads wherein people got all pissed off because someone else commented differently on what scope they could/should/would use on a specific rifle. This was usually followed by the typical bullying, name calling and attacking of indidivuals' heritage, sexuality and brain-power, or, lack thereof. You know? The typical 24HC thread.
