Give me a break! I'm so sick of reading article after article making Sen. John Lewis out to be some kind of victim. Trump's responses apparently are not aimed at a senator that called him illegitimate and refused to attend the inauguration. No, his replies are aimed at a civil rights hero. Just because he marched across the Edmund Pettis bridge and was assaulted by a trooper doesn't mean he is immune to response to his crap. People keep "tweeting" to Lewis's defense because he earned respect in the 60s. Holy @?(#!! My actions and words have consequences no matter what I did in the past!!!

As far as legitimacy goes, he had a legitimate beef in the 60's. He does not, now. The left in general, are refusing to realize that they lost. These people that call ME a bigot, are supremely intolerant of any view but their own. At this point, they are anarchists.

At the tail end of Meet the Press yesterday morning, Chuck Todd admitted that John Lewis was reaping tremendous fund-raising benefit from this little dust-up.

You have to be able to spell "Senator" to be one. That keeps Lewis a Rep.

Trump will make them look bad everytime simply by asking people to look at the current state of affairs and pointing out who has been in office. Results results results.
Life can be rough on us dreamers.

John Lewis is a shell of the Civil Rights Icon he is lauded to be. Lewis, along with the late Hosea Williams, were not masterminds that planed the grand strategy of the CR movement of the 1950's and 60's. Lewis was not Andrew Young or Ralph David Abernathy. Rather, Lewis and Williams were the agitators. King sent them ahead to locations he would march and speak to rile up the people in advance of King's visits. That's why you have these stories about Lewis getting firehosed, dog bitten and arrested. He was stirring up civil disturbance.
Lewis is not eloquent, and is a pawn of the Democratic machine that trots him out anytime they need to make a racial statement because they want to make him above criticism.
I will say this about Trump, he is not quite accurate about Lewis' district. While it is not Beverly Hills, it is no Chicago or Detroit. His District doesn't have serious decay and crime that other major urban Districts have. Also, Lewis is better ignored than battled with in a Twitter war. Don't waste the energy and give him more than one 24 hour news cycle. Ignore him and Pelosi puts him back on the shelf until needed next time.

It is very possible that their next nominee will be from one of their "inclusion politics" groups. Could be Black, female, GLetc., but I would doubt Latino. they will give this one more shot at forcing a bad candidate on us "just because they are:" a female or minority. When that fails. They will give it up for a cycle or two and lament about "how much further ther have to go".

At the tail end of Meet the Press yesterday morning, Chuck Todd admitted that John Lewis was reaping tremendous fund-raising benefit from this little dust-up. And the truth is, that's all it's about with Lewis. He has totally lost sight of principle in any shape or form. It's what he can get out of it. He want's recognition, money and more power, so he can get more recognition and power. He's a low life race baiter and that's on a good day.

Now Sharpton is on the "legitimacy bandwagon". Kinda easy for these guys. All they have to do is make an accusation, and it's all good. There was no election hack. The emails of the Democrats were released. They were unaltered, and showed the Democrats to be nasty pieces of crap. That makes Trump illegitimate?

There is not a lot of evidence supporting Obama's claim. There IS, however, a lot of obfuscation. It was declared a done deal, with little to prove it.

We see it as different. They don't.
The Right organized it's opposition to Obama in a lawful manner.
The Dems have no effective way to lawfully oppose Trump right now, so they are grasping.
John Lewis says Trump's election was illegitimate. That's of course absurd, but that is is position and that of his Party. They did the same to GWB in Florida with the hanging chads until the recount was certified by a judge, and then they still didn't drop it until the Miami Herald recounted later throught hte Freedom of Information Act and they finally dropped that. 911, turned attention away from that too.
The Dems were on the verge of World Domination had HRC been elected. They were certain of it, and now they are left stunned and bewildered that not only are they not the dominant force in US and World politics, they have lost complete influence for he near future.

Newt should be able to help him with this... .IF he'll listen! Yep... When he gets tired of getting whacked, maybe he'll learn to ask before he tweets... He needs a "tweet clearing committee"... One good thing about him, he doesn't seem to surround himself with "yes" men, likes to hear opposing points of view. Just needs to slow down a bit, which I think he will do. Right now, he's full of "whizz and vinegar" as my Dad loved to say. He'll find his stride. DF

Fburgtx's 7-point plan for being successful in America. 1) Avoid drugs/alcohol 2) Don't get pregnant 3) Don't GET someone pregnant 4) Get an education/skill 5) Get a career/work hard/do it well 6) THEN get married 7) THEN get pregnant/get spouse pregnant
If people would simply follow those 7 steps, in THAT EXACT ORDER, folks would be amazed how many problems they'd avoid. Learning those 7 steps, and following them, ought to be a high school course.
Instead, we've got a bunch of drug addicted, baby daddy's, single mothers, lazy, no skills folks, and we blame racism/government/etc.
John Lewis has managed to make a career out of blaming racism/govt, when the majority of that problem was fixed 40-50 years ago.

John Lewis reminds me of the Negro that wore a tuxedo when he went to get a vasectomy.....he said if he was going to be impotent, he wanted to look impotent. Negroes want to be noticed....that's why they drive weird colored cars, with the radios blasting. It's why they wear loud colored clothes, and act like idiots when they're in front of a TV camera. John Lewis is just being a typical Negro....he knows that it's going to be about Trump and not the Negroes for the next few years, and he's just making sure he get's noticed, and isn't lost in the shuffle.

Back when I was a kid it was coon tails hanging from the rear view mirror . . . Rabbit fur on the steering wheel, and their favorite cars were the Falcoon and the Jigwire.

Around here it was Buick (pronounced Buirk), Oldsmobile (pronounced oldsssmobilesss), and their favorite.....Pontiac (stands for Poor Old Negro Thinks Its A Cadillac). A Cadillac was the ultimate goal, and if they couldn't afford that, a Buick Electra 225 (called a deuce and a quarter), was next.

As far as legitimacy goes, he had a legitimate beef in the 60's. He does not, now. The left in general, are refusing to realize that they lost. These people that call ME a bigot, are supremely intolerant of any view but their own. At this point, they are anarchists. Didjaknow that Selma Alabama is a black-run paradise..today

If anyone's legitimacy can be questioned, it's Lewis's. I'll wager that he comes from a gerrymandered district that was designed to elect a black to its congressional seat. Trump was elected according to the rules the founders laid down a couple of hundred years ago.
The biggest problem our country has is not systemic racism, it's systemic stupidity.

Trump was elected according to the rules the founders laid down a couple of hundred years ago. Lewis does have a safe District, but it is not horribly gerrymandered. The prize for that one was the original District drawn to get Cynthia McKinney elected back in the '90s. Struck down in court. That was bad!
