If it won't shoot Hornady 50 VMax well, then it isn't going to shoot others well either. And that bullet will pretty much obtain maximum performance that you're going to wring out of a 22-250 14 twist.
The Nosler BTip 40 grain is also a fun one that usually works well. It shoots flat.

I had a Remington Model 7 Predator in 22-250 and it seemed to like the Speer 52 HP pretty good. Have a Ruger Hawkeye Predator in 22-250, and I hoped it would like the Speers as well, since I had about a 1000 of them. It shot them okay, but it really likes the 40 grain VMax and 39.5 grains of Varget. Itty bitty groups, and shoots like a laser.
