Never had an issue with USPS not getting my shipment on time, amazingly (provided it went Priority Mail).
But UPS... my delivery made it to Colorado the 20th with a scheduled delivery on the 23rd. Then the 23rd it was somehow in Wyoming with a new scheduled delivery date of the 24th. Now I have a new date of the 25th. WTF??? Ya'll suck

I had an experience similar to yours shipping a rifle to Montana. I seems that in some areas of the west UPS ships to hubs west of the destination and the package must then reverse course and ship eastward to its destination. Seems not to make any sense but that's how they route things.

You are lucky. I've rarely ever gotten the 2 to 3 days they claim. Usually double that, sometimes much longer. It took them a week and a half to deliver the last one from a city only 5 hours away.

USPS is usually pretty good, and much less expensive than UPS.
I did have an item shipped USPS that somehow took a detour to Big Lake Alaska. More disconcerting is I often find one of our neighbors letters in our mailbox, one time there were three or four letters addressed to neighbors, and every single one was a different neighbor. Makes me wonder how often one of our letters ends up in a neighbors box.

Just hope you don't have something coming by FEDEX from Utah. One of their 18 wheelers got hit by a train today, and i suspect some packages will be delayed. It looked like the train was doing about 50 MPH and it T-boned the trailer. It resembled a bomb going off. http://www.sltrib.com/news/4858097-155/video-shows-frontrunner-train-hit-semi-trailer

Happened again... I hate UPS and am done with them. Supposed to have a package delivered today, UPS says it is in CO Springs, the UPS location says it is in Denver. Nobody knows where it is at for sure, but the only certainty is that it will not be delivered today as it should have been.
Ordered two things from the same retailer on the same day. One shipped through UPS and is MIA. The other shipped through FedEx... delivered.

I know I'm OT here, but I just don't get riled anymore. Ain't worth it.
I order far enough ahead of time that a couple of weeks matters not.
A shame that is.

I don't get upset if an order is delayed. I DO get pissed when it's been used as a chair, step stool, wheel chalk, and cardboard snowball for impromptu warehouse fights before being delivered.
IMO the USPS excels at beating the schitt out of packages. UPS is better in this regard.........at least in my area.

United Parcel Smashers are running neck and neck around here with USPS competing for the worst service record. Close run race at the moment.

That's too bad. We have excellent UPS service up here.
USPS is not bad......FedEx is terrible.

Anytime I have something shipped where I live by UPS you cane expect another week in delivery because the lying POS company claims to have tried to deliver and turns over to USPS to deliver

Brad sent me a package Saturday that should be here today. I'm in eastern Washington, he's in Bozeman......my box was last scanned in Denver. I had a gig blowing out smashed pipes for dirt bikes and sleds. I had a pipe come in from kingston idaho which is 70 miles from me. I fixed it and turned it same day. The pipe wet to 7 different countries over the course of about 40 days.....both usps.
When usps fails it's usually pretty severe. I still have good luck with them considering how much I send/receive.
I would not buy something that runs on any kind of primer given the possibility of primer shortages and even regulations. In fact, why not buy a flintlock? Really. Rocks aren't going away anytime soon.

Ups just sent me a letter saying they couldn't deliver to my post office, but oddly he delivered 2 other packages to my post office on the same day.....they all make mistakes.

I just ordered a crossbow case through Amazon and shipped through UPS which got lost in the mail. I contacted UPS and Amazon. Amazon sent me a replacement. I've had at least one other item lost with UPS. On the flipside they do offer the most up to date tracking compared to FedEx and USPS.
