My understanding is that the Process Technology program offered by the Kenai Peninsula College has the highest rate of job placement and salaries, i.e. what you'd consider a successful program. They also offer classes at the Anchorage Extension Site. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that with Anchorage being the population hub for the state, there are plenty of students taking classes in Anchorage.
So of course, as a cost cutting measure they're closing the program in Anchorage after the 2017-2018 school year.
Of course they are keeping the program in Kenai, makes perfect sense given the thriving oil and gas industry in Cook Inlet and the huge population on the Kenai.
No offense to my friends on the peninsula, but man the UA system is managed by a bunch of idiots.

Mark Begich, Joaquin Jackson, and Heller resistance... Three huge reasons to worry about the NRA.

I have no doubt.
Seems the biggest problem with education in this country is educators that become administrators.
