Trump banned citizens of seven Muslim-majority countries from entering the US for at least the next 90 days.
The executive order bars all people hailing from Iraq, Syria, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen -- or at least 134 million people, based on 2013 World Bank census data -- from entering the United States.
Those countries were named in a 2016 law concerning immigration visas as "countries of concern."
But the executive order also makes clear those seven countries are just a starting point for a likely broader ban.
The order exempts diplomats and members of international organizations from the ban.
Give a man a fish and he eats for a day. Give a man a welfare check, a forty ounce malt liquor, a crack pipe, an Obama phone, free health insurance. and some Air Jordan's and he votes Democrat for a lifetime.

Excellent. The ban should be permanent, and at most only a tiny trickle (if even that) of super heavily vetted Muslims should ever again be permitted in. Our immigration policy should be for our benefit as a nation, i.e., to fulfill a need we have as a nation, and I'm not seeing how we have a need for more Muslims. If we could get rid of the ones we already have, I can see the benefit in that, but not the other way around.

Finally, some reasonable protection from radical Islamic terrorists. I was fully confident the day after 9/11 that Bush would immediately do what Trump just did. I was utterly shocked that he not only didn't do it, but increased the flow of Muslims into our nation ... something you'd expect from an enemy infiltrator into our national government, not the president of the United States.

Due to the nature of my wife's job, she regularly comes into contact with refugees from various muslim countries. BHO seemed to take particular pleasure in dumping them in the most conservative states like Idaho. Anyway, most of them barely speak English, have no skills to support themselves and sit around all day collecting various forms of welfare. Pretty pointless if you ask me. Muslim refugees should be placed in muslim countries, period.

I imagine he'll certainly expand the list as well as the criteria for entering the U.S. It just can't happen overnight. Lots of things need more than the initial band-aid they get.
