Midway has .375 Win in stock. 200 gr PP $44.99 a box.

Not wonderful, but less than old stock is going for these days.

i am semi tempted. I ran accross for boxes of the old stuff at 55bucks a box a few years ago still haven't shot it, as i scroungd enough brass/bullets to make my own. Still the new stuff isn't really a bad price.

IDK, but that is ridiculous, I'll get by just fine with my old M-94 in 38-55 shooting hard cast flat noses, bet I can load a box for 7 bucks, 265 grs hard cast at 1855 will get most anything done.

being cheap i use a cast bullet about as you described.
what i haven't done yet is that brian pearce load with 1680 i think pushing a 200grain at about 2300fps.
There is a guy over in california making those plated bullets that seem to be pretty good if not pushed too hard.
I managed to scrounge enough ammo/brass i ain't worried about it.
if i was i would be buying the starline 38.55 brass which would work unless pushed hard.

I first encame envolved with a 38.55 buying one of those winchest commemoratives the legendary plainsman. loading some barnes bullets we were hitting offhand clay pigon targets at over 100 yards.
lot of people dont realize circa 1900 this was considered a target match caliber. I have kind of fallen in love with a marlin in 375.
i do have a slug kit to measure the bore on a turn of the century winchester takedown 38.55. have had it for years but never shot it.
I found a .30/30 piece of brass in the stuff the gun was with. no shoulder on it straight wall. think he was trying to make 38.55ammo out of it.
I think of it as the 45/70 light.

It is all gone.

Looks like the non-reloaders snapped it all up.
