Do the ones count that my wife doesn't know about? Anyway, more than 10 but I THINK less than 20. I would have to go count.

My youngest daughter asked me how many firearms I have about a year ago. Had to borrow some of her fingers and toes.

Have added since then.

My inventory changes a lot but I seem to keep about a half dozen centerfire rifles at any given time along with a couple rimfires and 3 or 4 shotguns.......Hb

My father, a boater, once aked me how many guns I owned, and was shocked that I didn't have the exact number right at hand. I told him I could rattle off the list, but never really put a number to it. When I said that a quick guess would be maybe 20, he just about dropped his phone. He's not opposed to guns, even owns a couple, but apparently doesn't see why anyone needs so many.

Anyway, the number is in a constant state of flux, and is best described as "almost enough".

I never have more than one or two of any given brand in a room.

Lucien Cary said, "I know I'm not a gun crank because I cannot imagine any reason to have more than 10 or 12. . .in addition to those I already own."

I don't count the number of rifle I own so I have "plausible deniability" if the wife asks.

It isn't a rifle but I just got one of my firearms out of the safe - a tiny Italian Beretta 950B .25ACP made in 1968. Saw it at Gander one day back in 2012 and couldn't pass it up for the $149.95, same reason I have a bunch of my rifles. The Beretta came in a box with Italian writing on it but an owners manual in English. Such boxes have since gone for $80 on an auction site so I guess my investment is protected. smile

My wife and I are headed to a very nice steakhouse for dinner tonight, coat and tie kind of place. The $150 gift card we have for watching the Grandkids while the parents were in Vegas won't cover the bill. As is the usual case when we go to such a place the little Beretta will be safely tucked away on my person somewhere.

If terrorists hit the place I'm going to wish I had one of my other handguns but the .25 should do for more likely events - especially singe a bigger gun will be in the console of the car during the drive to and from.

Last edited by Coyote_Hunter; 02/12/17. Reason: $249.95 should have been $149.95. Corrected above.

I had Two Tikka's and one M-1 Garand. I just sold the Tikka .270 and kept the 30-06. I needed some cash to buy a Pistol and I can only shoot one rifle at a time. Hard decision, because I shot a lot of animals with the .270. Funny how you can get attached to a piece of iron and wood.
