If he's a year behind the real reviewers, does that still have him getting one of the first ones?

He most likely will. Stay tuned. They will likely send him one of the first that comes out.

Looks like Ruger doesn't have the same crush on him that you do. Imagine that...

Hickok45 has some good videos and I enjoy spending time watching.

Did anybody catch what holster he was using? I still need one for mine.

What's the weight on it? The Ruger is 36 ounces.

Looked it up. My info is 38 ounces. Two ounces for an extra round sounds reasonable. Think of it as a .44 Special, and it would be very pleasant to shoot.

GP 100 44Spec. 36 oz, Ruger Alaskan 44Mag 45 oz and G20 10mm - 30 oz..
While its good to have options, I'll depend on my G20 with the adjustable sights I installed for a back packing option.

Details on the G20 adj. sights?

I've related my experience on the PD range of an old Irish FTO Sgt. who would have done just that, had he caught us with on our thumb on that hammer inside 50 yards. But even he understood not everybody was Ed McGivern and that mere mortals tend to make precise shots better in SA mode, than in DA.

There's no denying Hickok shoots well, with a wide variety of firearms. An an old FTO myself, my position is 'Only Hits Count' and how you get there soon and safely is of no consequence to me.
