If he's a year behind the real reviewers, does that still have him getting one of the first ones?

He most likely will. Stay tuned. They will likely send him one of the first that comes out.
Looks like Ruger doesn't have the same crush on him that you do. Imagine that...

Did anybody catch what holster he was using? I still need one for mine.
Looked like a Simply Rugged.

i am having one made by a guy up in northern nevada for a .41magnum ruger 2.75inch. If and when i get it, if it is worthwhile will post. I wanted one specifically for that three inch barrel.
Looked it up. My info is 38 ounces. Two ounces for an extra round sounds reasonable. Think of it as a .44 Special, and it would be very pleasant to shoot.
GP 100 44Spec. 36 oz, Ruger Alaskan 44Mag 45 oz and G20 10mm - 30 oz.. While its good to have options, I'll depend on my G20 with the adjustable sights I installed for a back packing option.
My home is the "sanctuary residence" for my firearms.

Details on the G20 adj. sights?

Every time he thumbs that hammer I want to reach up and slap him in the back of the fugking head.

I've related my experience on the PD range of an old Irish FTO Sgt. who would have done just that, had he caught us with on our thumb on that hammer inside 50 yards. But even he understood not everybody was Ed McGivern and that mere mortals tend to make precise shots better in SA mode, than in DA.
There's no denying Hickok shoots well, with a wide variety of firearms. An an old FTO myself, my position is 'Only Hits Count' and how you get there soon and safely is of no consequence to me.

I wouldn't call a gong the size of a Toyota, at 80yds, a precise shot.
So I will continue to be an ass hole about this.

I said the big gong is about 80 yards from where he shoots, meaning from where he ordinarily shoots when he's doing a handgun video. The video you posted is a departure from the norm when it comes to his handgun videos. Not only is he further away, but he's shooting at a different gong.
But I think the old boy is fairly handy with a handgun. Ymmv

I don't mind Hickock45 nearly as much as some of the utube warriors. Hickcock is a retired school teacher and makes no claims of being an expert of any sort or special operator desert warrior, blah blah, ect. His videos are a little simple and dumbed down too much at times but at least he's not erring on the hotshot side of things.
Every normal man must be tempted, at times, to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats.

That's for sure. He even characterizes his law enforcement past in the humblest of terms, on the rare occasions he mentions it.
Yes, it's plenty big for the distance. Last year I hammered a 30 gallon barrel, narrower and a tad taller, at 210 with a G30 and I had to hurry to miss it.
I really don't dislike any of you and I've got better things to do than argue about this. I offer free refunds on opinions at purchase price

Sarge, I hope you didn't take my post as hostility towards you. Just disagreement over the distance to the big gong he usually shoots at when doing handgun videos.
I took no offense TRH and none was intended from here. And thank you.
I never asked the guy how big the 80 yard gong is. I've got a 14" round plate I generally shoot at one-handed from 50 or occasionally 75, with my 45 New Vaquero. And yes I do miss it once in awhile. Makes me pay more attention to my sights and squeeze on the next shot.

Missed both you and Dave at Roosevelt this year.... Would have been good to see you there.

James Pepper: There's no law west of Dodge and no God west of the Pecos. Right, Mr. Chisum? John Chisum: Wrong, Mr. Pepper. Because no matter where people go, sooner or later there's the law. And sooner or later they find God's already been there.
Lmao. That was such a good video, nice shooting too, but oh the commentary that was rich
