52 grains IMR 4064 with a good 150 grain spitzer.

I use the same load as Twotrax. And in my rifle many times I've gotten a one hole 3 shot groups.

52 grains IMR 4064 with a good 150 grain spitzer. If a rifle doesn't shoot this load well it's probably sick or the scope is on the way out.

In keeping with my viewing the '06 as a wonderfully versatile round, one of my favorites for woods deer hunting in my 6 1/2 pound Mauser sporter is 42gr. 4064 under the 165gr. Sierra Gameking. It makes that lightweight, narrow butted, downright painful to shoot with factory level ammo gun an actual pleasure to shoot- and it's a good killer too. No need to load anything to the max if close range deer killing or target shooting is called for. (The rest of my '06's get fed a diet of cast bullets, but I digress.)

49 grains 4064 with the 165gr Scirocco has long been my favorite 30-06 combo.

30-06 with 150 PSP, 53 grains of IMR4064, has put hundreds, probably thousands pounds of ungulate meat in the freezers here.

My old Remington 700 with a 26" Douglas barrel shoots fine groups and 2800 fps in cold weather (2900 in 100 degree weather) using 49 grains IMR 4064 and 155 Scenar or 150 Hornady SST. If I go over 50 grains this rifle has pressure issues. By the way, these two different bullets have very close to the same trajectory and point of impact.

52 with a 150 in three very different .30'06's, for me.
53.5 or 54 with a 130. One of them likes 53.5, the other two like 54.

52 grains of IMR 4064 and a Sierra 150 gr. Game King for my 30-06's. Seems like 4064 and the 06 were made for each other.

Has for over 30 years for me too. Hornady Interloks and Nosler Partitions have the same point of impact as a bonus.

I've been testing some Accurate Arms 4064 in my 30-06.Kinda impressed with this powder.Groups have been running around 3/4".Haven't seen any pressure signs.Burnrate charts has it a tad slower than IMR-4064.
53.0grs with a 150gr Nosler BT gave me 2940fps 54.0grs 3005fps
52.5grs with a 168gr Nosler BT gave me 2880fps 53.0grs 2925fps
