Sounds tasty. Only thing i can think of that I use maple syrup on is pancakes. What are you NE boys using this stuff on? pancakes, waffles, cornbread, oatmeal, cereal, ice cream, substitute for sugar in baking, maple sugar cream spread, maple candied bacon, maple glaze on salmon, maple baked beans, .... Can be used in place of sugar or corn syrup in lots of recipes.

Don't forget ice cream or just pouring it over plain bread. Yesterday being the first boil and I took plenty of pic's,plugged the card into the computer to find out none showed up. My nephew will be coming up so maybe he can find them since he's a computer pro thanks to 20yrs of air force duty,if they're there he'll find them and post them.

Danny, Where are you located? Tug hill? I'm in the finger lakes but might take a road trip! Town of Russell,30 miles south of Canada, dead center of St Lawrence County. Road trip would be good on a day we were boiling.

Improved technology saves maple syrup producers time, energyBy LISA RATHKE, Associated Press February 26, 2017 In this Feb. 21, 2017 photo, tubing carries sap collected from maple trees at the University of Vermont's Proctor Maple Research Center in Underhill, Vt. The center is using a new machine that removes more water from sap than older technology, saving maple syrup producers time and energy boiling sap into syrup. (AP Photo/Lisa Rathke)UNDERHILL, Vt. (AP) — Maple syrup doesn't get that rich flavor and color in an instant. It's a long process from tree to bottle. But improved technology could keep maple sugarers from working late into the night boiling sap into syrup. The new machine removes more water from sap, leaving it with higher sugar content. The concentrated sap takes half the time to boil into syrup. Dozens of producers in Vermont, New York, Maine and Wisconsin are now using the machines. A maple farm in New York expects to double its output with a new machine, arriving this week. But some traditional farmers wonder if faster is better, and the North American Maple Syrup Council is taking a closer look at the advanced technology.
