Owned plenty of synthetics, what is the general consensus on the laminate stocks? Better stock than the hunter and lites?

I had a 260 Rem for a while. Great stock, and nice feel, but the problem is they never made one in left hand, so it didn't work out well for me. Picked it up at a local shop that had those on closeout several years ago.

Wonder if there is a noticeably difference in felt recoil?

Wonder if there is a noticeably difference in felt recoil? The weight would be the only determining factor in that. Laminate alone would "absorb" less recoil than a polymer, which can flex somewhat. And the recoil pads are the same.

NIB 7MM-08... Best Tikka stock I've held. And makes for a very sharp rifle with a stainless barreled action.
I should have just bought a [bleep] T3...

I have had a 25-06 laminate for about 10 years. Love it! Better than the synthetic by far. I have a few of those as well.

I've had my laminate 7mag for 12years. It seems to be my go to. I trust this rifle more than any other rifle I own. It just feels right. and shoots straight every time.
With the limbsaver pad felt recoil is less than one of my 270's.

I had a Pachmyre 1" installed on this one. Have no idea how it feels shooting it, but I bet it's sweet.
