Longhunter_1: My list of "wish I had'em back's" is so long I would hate to write them all down in one place. But if we are talking pistol "guns" then one I am reminded of one in particular so often (I actually still kind of own it) I'll relay about it to you. Many years ago I had a MINT condition Remington XP-100 pistol in 221 Remington Fireball caliber. I had a top rated benchrest Riflesmith make it into an ultra-accurate heavy Varminting Rifle (Jewell trigger, Hart stainless barrel, McMillan stock etc). But every time I use that Rifle I wince a bit at having taken apart that cool little pistol. Pistol gun #2 I wish I had back would be the Smith & Wesson Model 53 revolver in caliber 22 Remington Jet I foolishly let go! This was the rarer 8 3/8" model with box and inserts and on top of that it was in virtually unfired condition. I made a pittance of profit on it about 40 years ago and have rued that "let it go" ever since. Hold into the wind VarmintGuy

Longhunter_1: Speaking of Model 29's I will have to tell you about this one - back in the early 1970's I thought I had to have a "Dirty Harry" type Smith & Wesson Model 29 in 44 Magnum. I eventually came across one for sale at a Chinese owned hardware store in Seattles Chinatown. This was a new in the Presentation Case 8 3/8" barreled model and I bought it "at discount"! IIRC it was priced originally at $195.00 and I got a bit of a discount on that, plus tax free and I wrote it off on my income tax to boot! I still have that nifty pistol (still un-fired) in my gun vault room. Lots of other Model 29's have come and some have gone but that extra nicely made/finished Model 29 will stick with me. Four inch S&W model 57 with the wooden presentation case. Superbly accurate.
Four inch Colt Diamondback 38 Special. Another wonderfully accurate revolver.
Chronographs, bore scopes and pattern boards have broke a lot of hearts.

Just sold this one. Kinda wish I still had it. Just sat in the back of the safe and I couldn't bring myself to shoot it so I sent it down the road. Honestly, I wish I had one that was a "shooter". May try to find one some day.

Can honestly say of the several hundred guns I've sold there isn't a one I regret selling. Sold one Kimber Stainless Target II to a friend who had it for about 10 years and only shot it once. A couple of years ago I asked him if he wanted to sell it and he sold it back to me for what I sold it to him for. ..everything I even think I may regret selling is still here...the secret to having no regrets... When I worked for the local Sheriff's office I carried a Glock 26 as a BUG. When I left, a fellow deputy offered me a deal I couldn't pass up. Wish I had that one back!!!

The only one is a Ruger Redhawk 44mag 7 1/2". I traded it for some raw ivory in my youth. I had the ivory confiscated.
So in the end I had neither a revolver or ivory to show or it.

Smith K22. I could always buy another, but it wouldn't be that one.
I enjoy handguns and I really like shotguns,...but I love rifles!
