the wind today? You bet! First shot was just off the plate at 3 o/clock. I had estimated 3.75 MOA left as the wind was from around 8 o/clock at 15-16 MPH. I took another MOA left and shot what you see on the plate. Actual windage needed would have been around 5 MOA from 800 yards!

Nice groups shot on fairly still days don't teach one too much. Only way to learn shooting at the longer distances is to shoot on days....when you don't want to!!

If you don't learn to dope wind out here, you can throw mil/mils, rf's, etc in the trash.

It is irrelevant what you think. What matters is the TRUTH.

The wind is your friend. I learned a few things...

First, forget the 200, but concentrate on doing the best you can shot to shot. YOu'll normally easily win as at least 50% of the others have given up before the first shot.

Learn to shoot well in the wind, and learn how to play strategy in the wind, and shooting when its somewhat calm is just gravy.

Would have been great but I learned that around shot 13 or so my eyes were starting to wear with irons.... just learned to deal with it from then on.

We can keep Larry Root and all his idiotic blabber and user names on here, but we can't get Ralph back..... Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, over....
