I copied this off the CMP site.Thought it to be a good reference.Huntz
The difference is the canister grades sold for reloading are blended with portions of held back fast or slow lots to adjust the burn rate closer to an average value. That keeps load book data from becoming obsolete every time a new lot is packaged. Still, the blends are never exactly the same, so you are wise to work loads back up for any change in lot number you get with a new purchase.

That's just a relative burn speed chart simplified. It list powders by the neighborhood method. Note it puts IMR-4895 on the same line as H4895. When you look at Hodgdon/IMR's own data, you'll see they are not the same and you can't just swap one for the other.
