I have a Model 700 Mtn Rifle 280Rem that has (I believe) a "Magna-Ported" recoil reducer. It has a "very nicely" figured stock and I was wondering whether Remington ever offered that as an option? It has two horizontal slots on each side of the barrel; longer, higher and closer to the muzzle slots and shorter, lower and further back slots.

I once had a lightweight 375H&H Magnaported. While it was louder, it did a very good job of reducing recoil and muzzle flip.

Yes, that is what my barrel has. I haven't shot it much but I love the rifle and it shoots well. I just thought that, at some point, their custom shop would offer it as an option even if it were sent to Magna-Port. I like the appearance of the porting and it's the first rifle I've had with any kind of suppressor.

Magna-Porting is not a suppressor. It is for recoil reduction.

Wonder how they affixed that sling stud??
