... and baby body parts ?? Well, in that Liberal/Progressive/Socialist Paradise known as The People's Democratic Republic of Kalifornia, (aka Commiefornia), the two people behind the videos were just charged with 15 FELONIES for invading the privacy of medical providers by filming without their consent. See: http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/storie...TE=DEFAULT&CTIME=2017-03-28-22-02-47And whatever happened to the "good folks" who were harvesting baby body parts ....

No good deed goes unpunished.
You can bet this one is politically motivated by revenge rather than so-called "justice".

Do "medical providers" have special privacy rights these days or just in KA?

Do "medical providers" have special privacy rights these days or just in KA? Depends on their political party affiliation and their adherence to what is Politically Correct or not, by DPRCa standards... ( DemocRATic Peoples Republic de CA)

They were thoroughly investigated and no evidence of anything illegal was found.

There were no patients involved nor any patient information. This is probably a case of charging them with a made up frivolous charge just to bankrupt them with legal fee's. That is something that could go to SCOTUS.
It would be nice o see that happen and the people turn around and hammer the state for that conduct.

"Planned Parenthood said in a tweet that the charges send a “clear message… You can’t target women & health care providers without consequences.”"
You mean you can't investigate without retaliation?

Sorry, guys. Kaliforna law says you can't record any conversation w/o consent or w/o notifying those involved that they are being recorded. It's under the wire taping statue. This all came about when a drunken City of San Jose Councilman demanded that the cops arrest a guy for various things that led to a loud argument, etc. in a public place. The people offended were not willing to pursue the matter which was blown out proportion by the drunken councilman. When they refused, the councilman threatened to cut the police department's budget if they didn't do as he demanded. Knowing they'd need proof of his remarks, one of them recorded the conversation on a recorder carried on his belt. When the councilman tried to carry out his threat, the recording was released by the police officer's association, not the administration. This outraged the state's politican's who made the practice a felony. The really strange thing is that now the same politicans are demanding the cops be recorded whenever they contact anybody, and must release the recordings, including any videos, if there is any "controversy" about the contact....... Going to make for some "interesting" court cases, etc. I suspect that this whole issue of who can record who and under what circumstances one may release such a recording is going to have some nasty fallout over time. How about the recording of Donald Trump's comments about women ? Then there was Linda Trip who recorded Monica Lewenski's descriptions of Bill Clinton's antics. I see this as still another attempt by the leftys to divert public attention and support for the Repubicans and the Trump Administration. Goes to show us how desparate and amoral these people really are. E

This appears to be discriminatory prosecution - if this general matter eventually goes high in the courts, it could backfire. Non-notice/non-consent recordings happen regularly on a large scale.

You mean you can't investigate without retaliation? You can't "investigate" when you're not LEO's and you have no warrants. What they did was illegal.

That's just more mindless BS, trying to make something out of nothing. If you read what it really says, there's no possibility of getting any "signs of life" with that type of abortion. It was all hypothetical, but some appear to be too stupid to realize the difference. They rant without reading. The abortionist explains to the undercover journalists that she performs Dilation & Evacuation (D&E), also known as dismemberment abortions, and takes into consideration the feelings of her staff members who might be upset at the sight of a whole baby coming out during an abortion.

Actually, anybody can investigate anything. But they can't break any laws. Nobody can "wire tap" anybody w/o a warrant, even the cops. What's interesting is that a Texas Grand Jury indicted them a while back. But the indictments were quashed. Why ? How ? Then there is the last administration. Why did they not go after them ? Or why didn't Kalifornia's last AG indict them ? Going to be an interesting case. For instance, were they working for some news outlet as "investigative reporters ? E
