*Hawkins Precision BDL bottom metal, Rem mag box, spring, and milled steel follower
*Jewell trigger tuned to 2#

Jeff looks like a nice blueprint. Tim sure builds one hell of a rifle.. Should be a nice PA deer slayer. Have parts heading Tim's way next week.

Sounds like another super nice build Jeff, looking forward to seeing the pictures. I'm hoping to join the Creedmore club later this year when I have all my parts together

Thanks for all the positive comments guys!! I was able to get out to the range to finally shoot the new rifle......it did not disappoint. I was only able to shoot at 100 yds before the rains hit. 3 shot groups with Hornady Precision Hunter ammo = 143 grain ELD-X First group after initial sight-in: Next group to confirm zero:

Nice stick Jeff. Applaud you on "Less is more" - recoil, blast, carry weight. I predict a similar build to follow in a 2 or 2B contour but perhaps a 3 or fluted 3 in the middle. And perhaps a 22" barrel. A 6 CM might make a good companion Should make an outstanding Stand rifle. Well done. Nice shooter and shooting. FWIW I've had great luck w 4g barrels, as well as 3 and 5, yet the nostalgia factor hits me from the Swede roots. You just might like this one enough to enjoy it for awhile. Happy Hunting

300MAG Am I seeing that correctly, McMillan but no checkering? Its part of the custom fit/finish Tim does on the stock.....he fills in the checkering and hand finishes the entire stock for smoother lines and contours.

300 - I like the beer choice. Next time I'm in Pitt for work, we'll have to grab a beer. I'm so impressed with the groups - with factory ammo! Have you built up any loads (not that you need to)?
