Californias Jerry Brown. The state shows it too. Nicest weather, beauty that is stunning , 800? mi. ocean front property and it is still not worth living there. Wifes uncle and Aunt live in Livermore CA. A little 3 bd ranch is worth 600k. Taxes too are terrible, and traffic in Livermore was so bad 25 yrs ago I never went back. It is no doubt worse now.

Of the "best" governors, Montana's Steve Bullock (D) is pretty moderate, but he's still a democrat and puts his liberal buddies that don't agree with him on many things into positions of power...

I would have put Nikki Haley in the top 5 Governors. She did a great job for the state. For starters no sanctuary cities statewide!!
