I am for sure amateur The 222 won't totally eject though it will with unfired cartridges .The ejector seems to be working as it is under spring pressure. I have the little bronze extractor and flat spring from Jack First. In some past thread I read you push in and it comes out without driving out the little pin.I am concerned to keep from loosing the little booger. Any help would be welcome . verns

Put the bolt in a Ziploc bag and seal it to contain flying pieces.

Ziplock make a 2.5 gallon bag that I use after having a extractor spring from a Winchester 100 jump into the ether never to be seen again.

Well now I am a gunsmith and can hang out my shingle and blow about it . Not really ! I did drive the pin almost out to do it. The old beast flips the cases out well now. Thanks for the help and if you need something re-threaded or head-spaced I'm sure I could fowl that up . verns
