Building a rifle for my cousin and he found a hand guard he likes , the Armalite AR-10® 15″ VSR Handguard.
Is there any way a guy and make this adapt to DPMS threads or a a DPMS bbl nut?
Doesn't want the full length rail on top of hand guard . Any one know of any others out there ?
Thanks

SLR Rifleworks makes one that looks pretty similar for the DPMS pattern.
Midwest might make their "G3 Lightweight" handguard that is also similar for 308, I'm not sure.

Check out the Yankee Hill and Hogue models, both were offering smooth tubes for quite some time.

Thanks for the info Pretty much every aftermarket handguard is going to have holes in it. Without them, the handguards get HOT and the barrel doesn't cool as fast. There are free float tubes but they are just that, tubes. PRI makes nice carbon tubes and I know DPMS makes a solid tube, no rail sections though. If he really likes the AR-10 handguard and is set on that style, my advise would be for him to sell the DPMS and upgrade to the armalite.

Found a compromise , not that he doesn't like the holes it just that most of them are more holes than not . Found one with "slits" and 15 in long so covers the gas block . Put it all together last night and without a mag and scope thing weighs tad over 11 lbs , has a stainless fluted 24 in FULL BULL to .936 at gas block to target crown muzzle . Laid it next to my AR-15 in a 20 in h-bar and makes it look like a toy .
