Gee.

I wonder why they won't release the video?

I'm sure they were all well raised Swedish kids.

Someone may be able to help them get their life straight again... whistle

Eff California. They set themselves up by outlawing self defense.

Well since Calif won't allow citizens to Conceal, what does the public think will happen...

what do these punks have to fear...

not a damned thing...

a good headline would be, 10 teen punks dead and another 25 to 30 severely wounded and in intensive care...

parents are charged with their childrens crimes and have to pay restitution...

+1..... They basically outlawed self defense; the punks are now emboldened, and isn't that whole chithole a sanctuary city?.... But it's never the city officials fault...Those fine "public servants" who are so concerned about public safety that they can't stand the thought of an honest citizen having access to a gun that they go to any length to prevent citizens from being able to defend themselves. Then they allow predators like this to run wild. Now if one of those punks were armed they'd be SCREAMING for more gun control... But not a word about "Punk Control"..... See how that works?

taking her que from Comey? since they appear young she just assumes they are minors? maybe they didn't intend to do something bad.

Erring on the side of caution. They can always release it later, but you can't stuff the genie back in the bottle.

Seafire,

that's a broad generalization. Holds true for many jurisdictions, especially in the Bay Area, but not for the rest of the state.

Not to defend Kommiefornia, however, Cali is a "may issue" state, not a shall issue state. The local chief LEO "may" issue a permit, but doesn't have to.

Examples:

When I lived in Humboldt county I was a permit holder. Our sheriff then was "liberal" in granting permits. He was even asked, during an election year if I recall, why he gave out so many, to paraphrase the reporter. His response, again paraphrasing, I have a 40 x 60 mile county and on any given night I have three deputies working, average response time is 45 mins, should I tell my rural constituents to wait until a deputy arrives. The reporter got a bit quieter after that.

Fresno County a few years back, my wife's neighbor was a permit holder and told me even as a non-resident I would probably be given a permit should I choose to apply. Just explain to the sheriff my frequent traveling back and forth at night from work to my wife's place.

A county in northern CA I may retire to, soon maybe even. The sheriff there is known to be a big supporter of 2A rights, I even sat a few seats down at the Friends of NRA banquet and watched him happily bidding on auction items. Word from friends there is all I have to do to get a permit is ask, assuming I'm not disqualified. This sheriff signs onto lawsuits against many of the stupid gun laws that make it through the legislature.

Now, I have no problem with folks saying a lot of the more populated counties/cities it's nearly impossible to get a ccw permit. Please don't broad stroke the whole state.

Believe it or not, there are many good chief LEO's there, with the right idea about their citizens. But politics being politics, they don't hold sway over the big metro areas unfortunately.

Seafire, you should be familiar enough with the problems folks in rural N Ca and all of Eastern CA have, they're the same problems S OR has, being dictated to from the major cities in the state.

Now, had a ccw holder from another jurisdiction in CA been on board that train, just by chance, he/she has a right to carry in Oakland (maybe not on BART tho?, don't know, never rode it). The outcome might have been a bit different then.

Videos of minors committing crimes are on the media all the time.

Juveniles are protected from having their identities released in some cases, but not all. Doing something in a public venue on public transportation system ought to get them on the 6 o'clock news.

I tried to apply for my CCW in San Bernardino County
The regulation book was almost as thick as a ream of paper.

Among the regulation requirements was a year of pre law classes
and you had to supply a list of all of your neighbors names and addresses in a 6 block radius around your home so that the Sheriffs could interview every single one of them about you.

They estimated that it would take you 2 years in the best case.

At the end of the book it said that they could revoke the CCW at any time for no reason.

I threw the book in the trash.

I do not know how it is now.

If the media reported even 10% of all of these types of things as they occur there would be such an uproar from the public (Democrats included) that local governments would be forced to deal with it. The media knows this and, unfortunately, it does not fit with their socialist agenda.

Rules like that are designed to permit them to give carry permits to elites (the super wealthy, celebrities, bankers, government officials, judges, elected office holders, etc.), and deny them to all others. These laws leave lots of room for arbitrariness in application.

We had a sizable "altercation" involving about fifty "youts" here at the Orange Park Mall this past weekend. Thankfully here, the video was all over the news. No surprise as to crowd composition. That Mall used to be a regular place for me and my family for years. Not anymore. Completely taken over by them..

My wife is in the bay area with the boy for medical treatment at Stanford Medical Center. Because of California laws, she is completely unarmed. It pisses me off no end that my wife and kid have to be vulnerable to that bunch of sub-humans.

I had to stay behind to work and I couldn't convince her to carry. I didn't figure any jury would convict her considering the reasons for her stay in commiefornia. As bad as it is down there, I figure you're choosing to make yourself a victim in an effort to obey un-Constitutional laws. F that. I'd rather die in a firefight than die at the hands of the apes.

and you had to supply a list of all of your neighbors names and addresses in a 6 block radius around your home so that the Sheriffs could interview every single one of them about you.

They estimated that it would take you 2 years in the best case.

At the end of the book it said that they could revoke the CCW at any time for no reason.

I threw the book in the trash.

I do not know how it is now.

Yep, that's a major problem in that state, as I mentioned in my earlier post, it's a "May Issue" state, completely at the discretion of the jurisdiction instead of having a statewide policy.

Now, anyone in Cali want to try getting an initiative together to put it to a vote for "Shall Issue"? When/if I become a resident again, you'll have my signature!

SD county may not have as big a "book" to go through, but you basically won't be issued a carry permit by that sheriff. Many/most Bay area & LA area chief LEOs are of the same mindset, only "special" people get permits.

I mentioned Fresno county. At the time (2008?) the county sheriff would issue permits but you might have better luck getting a random sample of ten campfire members to agree on something than you would have getting a permit from the Fresno (city) chief of police.

I was just pointing out that broad generalizations do not hold true for a number of places in the state.

Perhaps if you had tried getting a permit from the chief LEO in Barstow, Needles, Adelanto or one of the other rural jurisdictions you may have better luck. Probably not now though as the majority of the other cities in SB county seem to almost be bedroom communities for LA LA Land.

Hope you're in a better place now, San Berdoo sucked a bit even before I left the state years ago.

"The images cannot be shared publicly, she said, because the suspects appear to be minors." Simple, the law does not allow it.

Absolutely not. That kind of knee-jerk response is why we had a banned list for firearms, mag restrictions, bullet restrictions, background checks, and all the other crap that restricts your Rights.
ENFORCE THE LAW! Minors are the responsibility of thier parents. Press charges, and go after the parents as well.

Rules like that are designed to permit them to give carry permits to elites (the super wealthy, celebrities, bankers, government officials, judges, elected office holders, etc.), and deny them to all others. These laws leave lots of room for arbitrariness in application.

They inherently favor one life over another. In this case the elite and serf.

This is BOGUS. There are legal restraints on identifying minors arrested or charged with crimes, but not restraints on showing a crime scene, especially one in progress. It is wrong for that "official" to not show the video due to an "assumption" or "suspicion" that the crime event may have involved minors - bad behavior based on weak premise.

It is a direct quote, as the marks indicate.

This covers photos, and I'm sure a section can be found covering video footage.

This explains who is responsible for minors commiting crimes.

(No, I am no lawyer, and do your own due diligence. Always check anything you find on the web)

I don't believe that's the law anyway. Just a lieberal doing what they do: lying.

Go after what parents? If they had parents, real ones, we wouldn't have anything to talk about.

"....Indeed, from a legal analysis standpoint, it is similar to the liability of a pet owner for injuries their animals may cause. In both instances, the actor actually causing the injury lacks legal capacity to choose to cause the injury and has no means of providing a remedy for the bad action. Thus, it falls to the one responsible for training the child or pet about the appropriate means of behaving in public to pay for the harm caused by the lack of discipline."....
Then you clearly did not read the second legal link provided above this.

There are rules as to what can, and can not be done, when minors are involved. And they are not the same everywhere. Need to know what the local law requires/allows for.
