I put together another upper, intended use is a walkabout varminter. Had a lower already put together and am using it until I decide on what rifle stock to use. I'm kinda stuck in a Magpul rut and am looking for opinions and experience on other manufacturers lightweight rifle stocks. As nice as the Magpul PRS stock is, it's not a lightweight stock. Thanks, Dean.

If you want really light, check out the ACE skeleton stocks. But if you want lighter than the PRS but still adjustable, etc, check out the Luth MBA.

Mission First Tactical is adjustable and saves 1 1/2 pounds over the magpul.
Won't have the cheek adjustment.
If you can't run the magpul flat, you might need to adjust mounts with whatever you go with.

Keep it simple. Get an old original COLT (or knock-off) buttstock. They weigh next to nothing and do exactly what they are supposed to.
