Interesting Cape Buffalo Skull

I shot this buffalo a few years ago in Klaserie, South Africa. 37" wide. 416 Rigby around 50 yards. His skull is actually white but light looks yellow. Notice his muzzle leans to his right (our left). His left boss is smaller than the right. Hard to see in this picture but his right horn has a notch knocked out of its leading edge. Closeup of the brow area shows a well-healed fracture line thru the base of the left boss going down thru the left brow and under the orbit. It extends thru the lower orbit and and rear of the upper jaw. I think he suffered a huge blow to the right side of his muzzle and horn causing this fracture, probably fighting with another bull. The fracture interfered with the blood supply of the left boss as well causing it to be smaller. Fortunately he healed, and I found him years later.
