Winchester 70 Classic Stainless 270 WSM in a Bansner/High-tec Specialties stock. It’s currently topped by a Meopta 3-9x42 w/ #4 reticle in Burris Signature DD mounts. It’s a rock solid performer that functions as naturally as if it were an extra appendage. My other guns must hate it because it keeps them all in the safe!

Probably Ole Faithful my 7mm Rem Mag Beretta Mato. While it is a heavy bitch it is dead nuts reliable and accurate with a 140 TSX at 3200 fps I feel confident in it taking any game I will ever pursue. It feeds dead nuts reliable it will feed empties upside down and probably while standing on my head. smile On top of that I have killed all my Big Bucks with it. Owned it since 2002 killed my biggest buck at the time with it a few weeks later.

But my favorite is My 6.5-06 700 much lighter and easier to carry it has proven to be deadly so far as I have taken a Moose, Wolf and a Texas Hog with it but it doesn't have the track record of my 7 mag.

I have 2

Rem 700 in 7RM in a Ti stock with a 3-9 Monarch. Stupid accurate. First centerfire rifle I bought 22 years ago. I blew the dust off of it this year. It's a little rough on meat but it just feels right.

Rem M7 in 260 Rem with a 2-7 Monarch. Handy and more accurate than a short pencil barrel should be.

for me it's my old 1914 vintage FN Mauser in 7x57AI. Shilen barrel, Canjar trigger, Leupold Scope. Bell and Carlson stock. It has done everything asked of it for over 20 years now.

Ruger 77 in 270 Win
I bought in mid 70s.
I acraglassed the full stock inletting with the barrel floated out past bedding for the lug.
Timney trigger, stock re finished with satin poly urethane and metal blasted and matte finish.
Fixed 6x Leupy (now).
Never loses POI and shoots 130s and 150s to similar POI
Killed lots of stuff from red squirrels to elk.
Bury it with me.

My style of deer hunting is walk & stalk slowly through stands of hardwoods within the steep country of central Pennsylvania. My rifle? A Glenfield 30-30 featuring 18 inch barrel and 2-7X Simmons scope. 30-30 is a keeper!

These days I find I enjoy using and hunting with various rifles and so I find I don't take out the 270 and the 375 much, because it's not "new" in any way, and I know exactly what I can expect from both.

Pretty much the same here. Sold, traded or fixed.

Ruger M77/MKII/Hawkeyes in .280 Rem, 7mm RM. .308 Win, three .30-06, and .338WM, Rem M700 in .30-06. Could hunt with any with no hesitation but like to use different rifles and do.

No, I'm not a Ruger bigot - just an unabashed fan of their revolvers, M77's and #1's.

A good .30-06 is a 99% solution.
