Prefer the Limb driver Pro-V, easy to adjust, simple system, and can be fixed in the field if needed
But, have also used the QADs over the years, only had one fail. They are very consistent when tuned with the bow.

I suspect all of the above are very good, and others as well. I have used Rip Cord rests on five bows and they have worked very well.

Sounds like good options I have been looking at QAD there is a pretty wide range is there a big performance difference from the 60 dollar hunter model to something like the HDX

Not one of the more advertised or pushed rests, but take a look at Hamskea. It's the Swiss watch of bow rests. http://www.hamskeaarchery.com/Local fella with some pretty serious background highly recommends them and that's what sits on my Prime bow. Here's his website just for S&G: https://parknsonsarchery.com/

I've been using the QAD ultra rest for about 10 years now. Had an issue with one I think it got bent a little. The bow shop I had purchased it from replaced it at no charge. Not terribly difficult to tune and when tuned properly they're excellent rests. http://www.cabelas.com/product/hunt.../qad-ultra-rest-hdx/2365194.uts?slotId=1Good luck and shoot straight Bob

The Hunter and mid-range models below the HDX are more likely to have issues than the HDX. The fork capture when the rest falls forward is much better/ more positive on the HDX, it's less likely to "bounce" on the arrow shelf and rebound into your fletching. I started with the Hunter, and replaced it pretty soon after getting it tuned. The fork would randomly bounce after a few weeks of use. We could see the fletch marks where it was hitting, and I'd see a fishtail on the release. As far as shot performance, no, they all tuned and operated about the same for me with a hunting bow.
