Any websites out ther that compare most of the manufacturers of lowers for fit, finish etc? Looking to buy a couple and I'm not sure on what to get. I like the upper to be very tight on the lower.

Buy a matched pair from someone. Any of the top makers are good. I prefer RRA just because.... but have luck with armalite, bushy and EA so far.
Just remember the fit between the 2 basically has nothign to do with accuracy issues.

no site that I am aware of for direct comparison of lowers...
Whatever you are willing to put up with, is exactly what you will have.

PAYPAL, sucks and I will never use them again. I recommend you do the same.

I must agree with RRA. I've had Busmaster and have handled quite a bit more. When I got my RRA lower, no matter what upper I put on it, Bushmaster or RRA, the fit was so tight, you'll have to wear it in before you can remove the pin with only your fingers.

Just remember(and I"m mostly an RRA man...) that the fit cannot be all blamed or praised to the lower only. The upper has specs to fit into and so its a mated pair if you just have to. Really doesn't matter at all as I've mentioned. Unless you are match type shooting.

I ended up with one made by class 3 sales, actually who know's who made it. I used the same upper that was loose on the RRA on it and it was very tight! Went back and bought a couple more. At $115 and in stock looked like a fair price.

Essential Arms in Krotz Springs La. sells matched uppers and lowers. They sell their lowers for $77.00 each (Dealer Price), and they are forged. They make them and not buy them like DPMS does and several other brands. I have bought 2 sets of the matched sets and they are very tight and very good quality. Their web site is Essentialarms.com.
