The Mexican consul in Omaha will encourage Douglas County officials this week to recognize a card
issued by his government as a valid form of identification for Mexican nationals.
Consul Jose Cuevas will address the County Board on Tuesday.

STOP THE SHAM MEXICAN ID CARDS
The only people who need these cards are illegal aliens. Acceptance of matricula consular cards is
piecemeal amnesty. They must be stopped.
Contact the Douglas County Board of Commissioners and tell them to reject the
matricula card idea.

AMERICAN BORDER PATROL OFF-LINE
BORDERCAM OVERHAUL
Owing to two mechanical failures during our last mission, The American Border
Patrol BorderCam system is offline for overhaul and retrofit. The new system will
be hardened against the wear-and-tear of field operations and will be totally
wireless, thus allowing a greater degree of freedom in the field. We expect to be
fully operational by Friday, Jan. 31.

FOUR OUT OF FIVE
Of the five official mission run so far, American Border Patrol has found and
reported suspected border intruders four times. The first mission spotted
potential border crossers, but we were right on the border and frightened them
away.
