Snobs are like liberals as they tend to ruin things for those not like minded.
Sorry, but you're flat wrong on this one.
I was drinking "better beer" long before it was trendy. Not all the new styles and flavors. I'm talking about classical styles properly made. It's simply better than mass market American beer.
Quick question MM.
I think you'll agree that there are some awfully good beers being made in the US these days.
My question....is it possible that a person could possibly like all three (the third being PBR of course:) ?
Does anyone else coat the outside of their skillets so they don't rust?
i do....Lard....but not to prevent rust. I have mine on a rack like yours and they get to looking dingy if not.

Its really easy Charlie.
A pint of heavy cream and three tablespoons of cultures buttermilk.
Tried making yogurt a few times Jim. Might start again someday, but for now I found a good cheap brand without the "guar gum" and other additives.
When you make the sour cream do you have to leave it out at room temp to culture for awhile or does it go straight to the fridge? We don't use a lot of sour cream, but I might like to make some for the experience.

I like potted meat on a cracker, and I like medium rare prime strip steak. I don't think anyone would say "snobbery" if the latter was called a finer meal.
Similarly, I can enjoy an ice cold High Life but it isn't snobbery to say any one of a number of golden Bavarian beers I've tried are simply better in every way.

I season mine initially , the entire thing then just use them . The ones I restore to sell i season until they look nice . Never had any rust issues even on the ones dedicated to camping .

The first day you mix the two ingredients together in a canning jar.
Use a coffee filter for a lid and leave it out in a warm place.
Second day you mix it together with a spoon and put the metal lid on and let it set in the fridge for another 24 hours.
Thanks Jim,
I'll give that a try.
Is it better if I use an unbleached, organic, locally sourced, free range, made by virgins from a disenfranchised area of the world, coffee filter or can I use the cheap white ones we have on hand?

Thanks Richard, true story! Was moms final request song at her services. She loved the Andrews Sister’s version!
