I am in Burlington Vt for a few days and a local gun and tackle shot had Winchester 200 grain Silvertips so I picked up 5 boxes for $57 each. He had 3-4 more in the back room.

I have some that I got from my dad that had an $8 price tag on it, but that was from back in the 60's!

I never thought I'd grow up to be a grumpy old man, but I did, and I'm killin' it.

Just finished testing the new Hornady factory stuff, 200gr flax tip "Leverevolution". Shoots to POI as my handholds using either the flex or flat point at 100 yards.

LOL, NICE 71, and Yessir, I remember that old takedown G, you use it to deliver one of those 180gr round nosed Speer hot cors into anything short of cape buffalo and they're going to be having a very bad day, same/same for the 71 and 250gr Woodleighs, nice brace of sticks there Jorge!

All my 300s love them. 10-4 Jorge, and not to sidetrack too much, but hope you found that expanded recovered 180 Speer from that old Takedown G in that bag of bullets I sent, it went through a doe deer's neck at around 70 yards as she stood with front legs on a bench top, I was much higher on up the hill, bullet re-entered front top of her ham to exited rear ham, then hit an elm tree behind her, goes without saying DRT. When I walked down to her I saw the white bark of the elm and smiled, got my knife and carved that bullet out.

I've heard of eating up to the bullet hole, but the bullet as well? :-) LOL, Biebs, I have her 'cook' all my recovered bullets, makes em smell nicer piled up on a counter somewhere, plus, I learned moons ago NOT to grab a pot and do it myself, was rinsing out Sharps rifle brass in a brass or copper pot I pulled down from a hook in the kitchen, poor girl came in and saw what I was doing, dropped her purse, coat, stepped outta her shoes, rolled up her sleeves, got me another pot and feverishly washed and dried the one I was using. Said that was her great grandmothers pot, I damn near gave the poor chicken a heart attack!
